Looking Local
Looking Local is a collection of online services provided by local government authorities and other public sector bodies to UK citizens, specifically for those citizens without the access or skills to access the internet using a PC-based web brower.
It is accessible on the major UK interactive TV platforms (Sky and Virgin), from mobile phones and on some kiosks. These channels have increasingly proved to be viable and useful complementary channels to front line services and the web.
There are hundreds of services available, including job vacancies from Jobcentre Plus and other agencies, transport information and journey planning from Transport Direct, and GP services from Patient.co.uk.

The Looking Local service is provided by the DigiTV project, a not-for-profit project owned and managed by Kirklees Council.
Cognovi is the technical preferred supplier to DigiTV.
VIRTEx
The aim of the VIRTEx project is to build a virtual community of connected carers and cared-for, to deliver flexible community-based care, preserve social inclusion and maintain a healthier lifestyle and independent living by encouraging change in behaviour.
Following successful funding from the Government's Technology Strategy Board as part of the Assisted Living Innovation Platform (ALIP), the project will address the challenges created by an ageing population and the growing number of people with long-term conditions.
Cognovi, as the technical supplier to DigTV, is developing the interactive TV service for VirtEx.
T-Seniority
T-Seniority offers a flexible combination of citizen-centric and personalised e-Care Services according to user's preferred or available ICT media: primarily via digital interactive TV.
In the T-Seniority project, DigiTV, as the local government portal on digital interactive TV and mobile, are the key for the entrance of the services in the UK. They have the means available and the networks deployed on where to deploy services to the users. They match the type of stakeholder to reach agreements and forge alliances with for getting the services deployed at local level. Enrolment of elders at UK National level; Customisation and deployment activities; Dissemination and Organisation of local events are among its main activities.
